Mixed Martial Arts for Reform And Progression (MMARAP)
Established 2012, MMARAP is a Community Interest Company (CIC) – enriching and empowering those from disadvantaged backgrounds, Deaf/Blind and disabled people using mma and educational programmes.
Delivered a Disability, Inclusion, Learning and Empathy for Mixed Martial Arts (DILEMMA) programme in May 2021.
British Sign Language user since 2011.

A professional and avid skydiver winning gold in British Skydiving Accuracy Landing competitions in May 2021 and June 2024. An ambassador for British Skydiving and a member of the British Skydiving subcommittee board for race, equality and diversity. He’s also a member of TRARIIS (Tackling Racism And Racial Inequality in Sport).
Inspiring Coach and Childcare Advocate
Sherrie Giraud is a dedicated childcare professional with a passion for supporting diverse communities. Despite facing the challenges of dyslexia and autism, Sherrie pursued her studies in childcare for five years, demonstrating remarkable resilience and commitment.
Since 2015, Sherrie has been an invaluable member of MMARAP, where she has dedicated nearly a decade to coaching both children and adults. She started as a Coaching Assistant during her second year of college and has since expanded her role to deliver coaching sessions in various settings, including schools, community centres, and other organizations. Sherrie’s inclusive approach has led her to provide coaching to deaf and blind communities, making a profound impact on their lives.
Sherrie’s journey is a testament to her unwavering determination and her ability to inspire those around her. She continues to be a beacon of hope and support for individuals of all abilities.

Sherrie received an award at Voluntary Action Islington in 2019 for best sportsperson.
Chris has been registered blind since birth however, has never allowed anything to prevent him from reaching his goals in life.
At three years old, he started training in Taekwondo and became a Para Athletes for GB Para Poomsae Taekwondo in 2018 however, Is the only registered blind fighter that fights and wins against fully abled people.
Chris recently graduated from the University of Hertfordshire where he completed an MBA specialising in healthcare. This was in line with his position as a patient safety partner for a world leader in eye optometry.
Outside of fighting and his work with the NHS, Chris also owns a start-up technology company where he is trying to create specialist technologies for those with a disability and everyone else using cutting edge AI.
Chris joined MMARAP back in 2020 and has supported the club since, believing the club to be one of the best when it comes to teaching those with a disability and, training others to help and assist others whom teach those with a disability.
Chris is also one of a few people who has recently helped to create a training document for British Taekwondo that allows instructors to train those with a visual impairment.

- Educational and motivational skills
