Global Inspiration
The Commission draws on practices from organisations like the International Paralympic Committee and Access Sport, striving to ensure MMA remains an inclusive, empowering, and safe environment for all athletes.
Under the leadership of Chair Johnny Buffong, the Disability Commission aims to create pathways for individuals with disabilities to participate, compete, and excel in Amateur MMA while fostering a broader culture of inclusivity across the sport

We rise by helping others
We aim to establish ourselves as the leading British academy that integrates mixed martial arts and personal development.
Community
We aim to strengthen our relationships and extend our reach across London so that everyone has the chance to take advantage of our sessions and our success.
Equality, Diversion and Inclusion
We mentor the deaf, blind, disabled and disadvantaged to achieve greater independence, become leaders and gain more control over their lives.
Our history
MMARAP was founded in 2012, by Mixed Martial Arts expert and published author, Jonathan Buffong.
The trailblazing, non-profitable Community Interest Company (CIC) has become an established part of life in Islington, north London, for deaf, blind, disabled and young people.
MMARAP is committed and driven to supporting, training and mentoring youngsters using mixed martial arts (MMA). From our very first session eight years, we have used MMA as an invaluable tool to develop essential life skills, such as confidence, discipline and respect.
We have run sessions down the years, with outstanding success and in January 2018, we took our unique approach out to St Kitts and Nevis, in the Caribbean, for an amazing and empowering trip. We hold sessions and programmes at Ringcross Community Centre, and also have a tight team of coaches and contacts, who can teach boxing, karate and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing and wrestling, to youngsters and adults across London.
Let's work together and help others.
